About Corvina
Corvina, sometimes called Cruina, is a thick-skinned black grape found more or less exclusively in the Veneto. Although there are single-varietal Corvina wines, it is most commonly used in blended wines such as Bardolino, Valpolicella and Amarone. Characterized by sour cherry notes on the finish, Corvina, with its high level of acidity aids in the ageability of wines, even rosés.
