At IWM we love all kinds of Italian wine, but we have a particular passion for the wines of Piemonte. They are some of the noblest wines, not only in Italy but the world. We’ll be tasting brilliant examples from all over the region--from magnificent Barolos and Barbarescos to bright and lively Dolcettos and even a few white and sparkling wines too. We’re certain you’ll finish this tasting loving the wines of Piemonte as much as we do!

Spring Wines

It's never to early to savor the change of season- particularly when it's turning from winter to spring. In celebration of this most wondrous time of year, we'll be breaking out some of our favorite spring wines--including a terrific sparkling rosé, a favorite Pinot Grigio and even the 'everyday' wine from the Veneto master Guiseppe Quintarelli.

Landmark Wines & Producers
Saturday, April 3, 2010 1:00-3:00 PM Some producers create such memorable bottlings that they become virtual landmarks within their respective regions. Take, for example, the Barolos of Luciano Sandrone or the Brunellos of Talenti or the spectacular genius of Paolo Bea. Their wines and those of others will be featured at this Saturday’s special sit down “landmark” event that will also be accompanied by delicious tastes of assorted cheeses and meats.

Friulian Whites & Prosciutto
Saturday, April 10, 2010 1:00-3:00 PM The Friuli region is home to some of the most exciting producers in Italy (Tenuta della Contesssa, Lis Neris) who turn out an array of wines- red, white and sparkling too. It’s also home to some of the best prosciutto in Italy (prosciutto is of course the Italian name for cured ham). We’ll be tasting both great wines and great prosciutto this Saturday and we will officially be in Heaven- come join us!
