Bodega Chacra
This week we've selected to highlight the wines of Bodegas Chacra, a group of wines most fitting because they come from Argentina, but from an estate owned and operated by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, an owner of the great Italian wine Sassicaia.

Bodega Chacra Pinot Noir Rio Negro Cincuenta y Cinco 2007
Spicy, aromatic, balanced and supple, Bodega Chacra Cincuenta y Cinco is a stellar New World Pinot Noir. Bright red fruit notes include cherries, strawberries and currants layered with flavors of cloves, roses and sandalwood in a long, lingering and weighty finish. The 2007 is ready to drink now or may be cellared for the short-term

Bodega Chacra Pinot Noir Rio Negro Barda 2008
This is the entry level Pinot Noir from the estate. It’s easy, supple sipping provides for the perfect everyday wine, and is one of the great values in the whole Pinot category. Just two thousand cases are produced and this wine will not be available for long. An IWM favorite, it is one of our top picks.
