About Pinot Grigio
Pinot Grigio, or Pinot Gris in French, acquired its name either from the color of the ripening grapes or the fog that engulfs the hills where it grows. Higher-quality Pinot Grigios are straw, gold or copper-colored, depending on how long the grapes are left on their skins during maceration; they’re marked by a bright acidity and notes of green apples, peaches and herbs. |
