About Prosecco
Prosecco, also known as Glera and Seprina, is indigenous to Friuli though it’s probably best known in the Veneto region where Prosecco DOC is located. Though sometimes produced as a still wine, Prosecco most often appears in Frizzante (fizzy) or Spumante (sparkling) versions that range from dry to sweet. When producers opt to judiciously cultivate Prosecco, they make complex, crisp Proseccos with light floral perfumes and flavors of peach and apple. |
